BIKINI PREP | 8 WEEKS OUT

Hello, hello! Welcome back! For anyone who doesn't know, I am currently running a giveaway! Make sure to check out my Instagram page for details. It doesn't have a set end date. The winner will be chosen once I hit 500 followers! Also, stay tuned for for a little challenge I'm going to run here soon ;)

8 Weeks Out

This week was a ROLLERCOASTER. I mean literally I had so many ups and downs and twists and turns and I can't decide if I liked it or not but I do think, overall, it was a decent week. I started working with 2 new clients, FINALLY ended the month of February, went to the Arnold Saturday all day, and then watched the fights Saturday night. After being at the Arnold and seeing so many people in their best shape, I got SO excited to grind hard and see what I can bring to stage in April. The flame lit inside me right now is equivalent to a bonfire y'all!

Diet:

This diet has been blowing my mind. I'm only eating just over 1400 calories a day and I feel great. I still have cravings for the good stuff (chocolate, chips, pretzels, brownies, etc) which is TOTALLY normal. The weird thing is, and this happened last prep too, I crave doughnuts... AND I DON'T EVEN LIKE DOUGHNUTS! It's kind of like a pregnancy craving. I do need to tattle on myself. I always brag about how great I am with water, which I really am, but I always forgot about the weekends. For some reason, I just do not drink on the weekends like at all. I drink water during my workouts and that's about it. This weekend, that's something I'm going to try to pay more attention to and make sure to drink a gallon on Saturday and Sunday!

Pancake - 1 c egg whites & 1/3 c oatmeal topped with 1 tbsp low sodium pb & Walden Farms pancake syrup

Training/Cardio:

This week was kind of tough as far as making time for the gym. It is ALWAYS a priority to me. I've gone in the middle of the night, early in the morning, in between meetings/events, even squeezed workouts in when I've only had like 20 minutes. But sometimes, shit just happens. No matter how much I feel like I NEED to workout, being an adult (unfortunately) and being a mother will always come first. (Ps only the adulting part is unfortunate... I LOVE being a momma). Anyways, I'm being slightly dramatic.. I only missed 3 days (Th-Sat) and then had a killer workout on Sunday.

My coach has me doing fasted cardio 3 mornings a week and that's been a serious struggle. The cardio isn't the hard part, finding the extra time in the morning is! I'm not gonna lie, I only accomplished this one time and it actually felt really good. I felt so accomplished. This week, I'm going to really try to get in ALL of my cardio sessions!

Supplementation:

Supplementation has remained the same. I'm going to take my cardio extremely serious for the next 3 weeks. At that time, based upon physical appearance, my coach and I will decide if any other supplementation will be necessary.

Life:

Like I said, this week was a rollercoaster! But overall I guess it wasn't too shabby! I had two clients start their program with me on Monday and they are both off to a great start!. Both of them received a detailed and personalized meal and exercise plan and I'll be working with them one-on-one for the next 6 weeks to help them achieve their goals! They are both mothers, battling a busy lifestyle with multiple kids and full time jobs yet they are still doing the dang thing! I'm super excited to be able to share their progress pictures later on. Check these ladies out:

I cannot tell you enough how much I love what I do. To be able to help and watch someone develop love for themselves with my help makes me incredibly happy. This week, I really felt the love from a few people I've been working with. One girl, who's been participating in my Spring Challenge, put on a pair of jeans that used to be snug and they fit perfectly! I could tell how excited she was just by the text I received. Another friend of mine has lost 18 pounds in only 48 days and went shopping for jeans this weekend and she is DOWN A JEAN SIZE! She is so close to her first weight goal and I am so very proud of her!

I spent the entire day Saturday in Ohio at the Arnold Sports Festival with my best friend. It was extremely packed but we still had so much fun. By the end of the day, I couldn't feel my arm because my bag of free samples was so damn heavy. It was awesome to meet some of the people who have had a huge impact on my fitness journey. I took more shots of protein, pre-workout, and BCAA's then I can count. I bought a container of chocolate PBfit powder because it was SO good. I also got samples of PB2 (which I've never tried) so I'm going to make a serving of each sometime and do a comparison. I also left with a bottle of competition self tanner from Rossa Self Tanning. I've never used a self tanner before so I will definitely be testing this out soon but I'm excited about how much money I'll save not paying for a spray tan ($130)! I was able to meet and talk to the owner, Anthony Rossi, and he was super nice and made it so easy for me to buy his product. What I'm most excited about is the fact that it's plant based and not loaded with chemicals! I'll definitely be posting before and after pics once I try it. The only other thing I bought (I think) was a shaker bottle from Bowmar Nutrition but mainly because it came with a free scoop of protein and I SO BAD have been wanting to try their blueberry cheesecake protein. I only have one scoop so I'm saving it for the right time but once I try it, I will definitely post a review. I'll also do short reviews on all the other product samples I got as I use them. I'm incredibly sad that I wasn't able to meet Katy Hearn but there's always next year! Here's all the people I did get to meet, though:

Please subsribe, like, and share and be sure to comment below whatcha think or any questions! Also, I would really love feedback on what other topics y'all would be interested in me blogging about! I do think I would like to write about my personal life (motherhood, my relationship, wedding planning/etc) but I also want to get a little deep and talk about some more serious topics. Let me know and I look forward to writing again next week!

Xoxo
